Both styles build endurance and stamina and can also burn up to 450 calories an hour depending on the intensity of the class and the level to which the student is working. Yoga isn’t just for the body though, it encourages mindfullness and flow which can have a profound effect on the mind as well. Yoga has been proven to lessen the symptoms of anxiety and depression.
